What Every Student Does

For those who are not as kiwi as myself, Trademe would be the equivalent of Ebay over here in little New Zealand.
You know.
Its starting to bother me how little New Zealand is.
Does anybody else feel like that?
I'm forever shipping things here from America.
And England, stop writing all your prices in pounds. Everyone over here goes. "Whaaaa?" quickly followed by a google search of "Pound converter right now please!" And it all ends in, "WOAH thats expensive"  Then you can't seem to exit off their website fast enough.

Thats when you can actually get it sent over here. Usually you go about your inter-shopping, get to shipping costs, "Hi there! do you ship to the southern hemisphere?"
Website "We sure do!"
Me "Great! When can it be sent?"
Website "Well, right now if you like."
"Super great!"
Website "So what part of Australia are you from?"
"..."

You all fail and make me cry.
I want to be where the things and people are.
I want to meet artists and stuff.
I want to ask them how they do the cool swoosh thing with the watercolour paints.
I want to change time zones by driving sideways.
Driving sideways over here leads to a beach. Which would be exciting had we not all been born and bred on beaches. Yes I'm starting a rumor! All New Zealanders were born on a beach.
Its true.
Theres a picture of a beach on my sister's birth certificate and everything.

  1. Bex, Love it. But you don't know how lucky you are with the beach thing! I was born in Taumaranui - there was a river. It was stony and cold. Now I live in Pokeno - there is also a river (in Tuakau). It is muddy and cold. I wish I could drive sideways (for less than an hour) and find a nice sandy beach :D I can drive sideways/northways for 40mins and find a really stony beach at Kaiaua :( You are lucky. And oneday I might come and live up there again coz I miss the beach....
